Inspiration Thursdays: What do you dream?

Because Thursdays’ child has far to go…

So many amazing things have started with dreams. Some serious and important things like freedom. Some useful things like electric light bulbs and telephones. Some fast things like trains, cars and airplanes. Some beautiful and exquisite ones like gardens and great works of art. Dreams are things that make the world an amazing place to live. They are the things we hold onto when life can be tough. Unfortunately they are often things we can feel are so far away and impossible to reach. But what if, for just a moment, you had a way to make a space for your dreams to become more possible, an inch at a time? What if you could create space in your life for that dream to come to fruition? Or if you don’t yet know what your dream is, a space for that dream to begin to live in your heart and mind? I believe dreams ARE possible. Once upon a time our families’ dreams were relegated to the improbable existence of “some day.” But as we have come closer to debt free, as we have become more intentional and, believe it or not, as we have simplified our lives and become more practical, our dreams have become close enough to realities that they are getting calendared. I can’t tell you how fun and inspiring it is to see these things begin to live and add color to our lives. Because we are becoming debt free we feel less chained to the “have to’s” in life. We can feel some wind beginning to lift the wings of the desires and dreams in our hearts. If that’s not reason enough I don’t know what is.

So today I share a simple but compelling quote from one of my absolute all-time favorite dreamers who shared his dream with the world back in 1955 whose his dream goes on, sharing with us even today:

“It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.”-Walt Disney

Be inspired. Dream.
